Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu translates to “the gentle art,” and is a grappling art, which means that the techniques focus on groundwork. In Jiu-Jitsu, you don’t need to be bigger or stronger – you just need to be smarter. At WNY Mixed Martial Arts & Fitness, Coach Caveman and Coach Matt teach kids the same fundamental concepts that our adults learn.
Kids and parents love our BJJ program for a variety of reasons:
First, it’s a ton of fun. Kids can come in a burn off some energy playing games that help them with important concepts.
Second, it helps build confidence. Kids who know that they are capable of defending themselves are less likely to pick fights. Our anti-bullying program teaches kids to stick up for themselves and engage in healthy attitudes.
We also offer the opportunity for kids to compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments. Through regular classes and optional private lessons, Coach Caveman and Coach Matt get kids ready to think quickly under pressure and to handle both winning and losing with grace.
Let us know if you would like to bring your child in for a free Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class.
