Triangle Guard P2: Control and Transition to Choke

There are plenty of videos showing you how to do a triangle choke. This video is part 2 in a series breaking down some of the important details on working in triangle guard. Getting the right set up is critical. Make sure to watch part 1 and part 2!

Our No-Gi fundamentals class teaches you important foundational techniques plus key details that will make these techniques all the more effective.

If this looks like fun (it is!) we’d love to set you up with a free intro private lesson to try it out.

Knee Bar Setup from Half Guard

We love showing fundamental techniques – but we also love showing some trickier things too. Here’s a cool knee bar setup coming from half guard.

With four Black Belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, WNY MMA gives you ample opportunity to learn not only strong basics, but also sneaky advanced techniques. Whatever your experience level, we’d love for you to come train with us!

Rocking and Technical Standup Drill

From a self-defense perspective, being able to be on the ground following an opponent who is standing – and then getting up and escaping – is challenging. But these techniques, which you can practice solo or with a partner, allow you to be mobile on the ground and be able to stand up and escape safely.

We offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, in addition to our striking classes and our Free Monthly Women’s Self-Defense Class. These classes provide a number of different perspectives on self-defense. But all of them will help make you more prepared for real-world situations.

Want to learn more techniques in a free introductory private lesson? Let us know!
