Team WNY MMA is Stronger Than COVID
THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING COMMUNITY
During these unprecedented times, WNY MMA has been so grateful for the understanding and love shown by our members, not only for us - as management and coaches - but for each other.
The live online classes have been such a positive experience. Now, we have approval from the state to return to some in-person classes with precautions. We will continue to look out for each other and utilize the resources we have to help everyone stay safe and healthy.
We have put immense effort into our safety plan and feel confident that we are doing everything within our power to give you the safest training environment possible. We'll also continue running online classes so that you have options for training in person and at home.
Locations: We will start by opening a limited schedule in North Buffalo for two weeks to test all of our safety procedures. After two weeks, we will evaluate the procedures and set an opening timeline for the Williamsville location as well.
Social distancing is key. Our training spaces in North Buffalo/Williamsville give us up to 13,000 square feet, so we're able to far exceed the recommended distances. Everyone will have their own training space that's at least an 8-10 feet square with at least a 2-3 foot buffer between areas. Coaches will also have their own designated areas.
Face coverings will not be required during training, as per state regulations, but will be required for now at all other times. We will provide at no charge Team WNY MMA cloth face coverings for all members and coaches.
Screening procedures will include taking temperatures and asking the three basic questions recommended by NYS. Please the safety plan for all details.
Locker rooms/bathrooms/water fountains will be closed for now. We will continue to assess the situation and provide these amenities again as soon as possible.
Pre-registration for classes will temporarily be in place to allow us to control the number of people in class. Members can register for class as an individual or training pod, which is a group of 2-4 people who will work together on a consistent basis.
Our safety plan also outlines our cleaning and tracing procedures.
Before returning to training in-person, you must read the safety plan and certify that you have read it. When you register for your first in-person class, we will send you the COVID-19 Waiver that includes certifying that you have read the safety plan and agree to follow its rules.
If you can't make it into the gym, we have you covered. We are continuing with our live stream schedule. You can tune in and get one-on-one feedback right from home.
We're live streaming all of the classes on the North Buffalo schedule and every coach has a screen to see everyone training at home. So you'll get the coaching you love, wherever you are!
